Java Funder
Providing organizations with the tools they need to fulfill their fundraising goals through the sale of coffee and other drink products.
Java Funder came to Top Floor with a new business idea; to help organizations fundraise, by selling a product almost everyone enjoys - coffee! They wanted to create a way for these organizations to build their own micro-sites, that can be individually branded, to promote their fundraiser and sell the product directly through the website. There were 2 main components to this project; the Java Funder website that promoted the service, and then the micro-site templates that the organizations could use to promote their fundraiser.
The Solution
The Java Funder site had 2 main audiences; those looking to fuel a fundraiser (the buyers), and those looking to start a fundraiser (the sellers). The ‘choose your path’ approach on the homepage addressed those that were either already familiar with the service, and ready to sign up, or those that were new, and needed to learn more first. Because this was a brand new company, an emphasis needed to be put on explaining how the whole process worked and what type of organizations could use the service through fun icons and a step-by-step process. As a buyer, it’s easy to find a group to donate to through the Fuel An Organization page, which then led to each organizations’ micro-site.
The Micro-sites
The organization could choose between 2 different templates to promote their fundraising efforts.
Each template allowed the organization to upload their own images, text, logo, and brand colors. Social sharing functionality was also included, so that they could market their fundraiser outside of the website. The user could either buy one-off drink products or sign up for a monthly subscription, and then attribute the funds to a specific member of the organization.
